Finessing Soft Light for Fashion / Woman with jewelry

When shooting indoors with softboxes, a photographer has the ability to control and finesse lighting levels in a way that is far more difficult to do outdoors.

An object or person lit with diffused lighting has a tonal range great enough for a camera to capture detail even in the lightest part of an image.

Once you work with this level of lighting control, you can't help but improve the quality of your images.

This lesson illustrates some basic lighting and posing techniques for studio fashion photography, and addresses the importance of using a hair and make-up stylist.
