Preparing Images for E-mail and the Web: Part 2 / Close up shot of necklace

One of the great advantages of working with digital photos is that you have the ability to send them to anyone with an email address, and more sharing options are becomeing popular everyday.

Once you have a digital image saved to your computer, there are several things you can do with it. Image files can be printed on special photographic paper straight from your inkjet printer. If you have a website, you can integrate images with text, logos and illustrations. You can designate an image to be the background on your computer's desktop, and you can send images as email attachments for others to view. With each of these applications, it is always a good idea to check and prepare them with photo-editing software.

This lesson demonstrates step-by-step how to optimally prepare your images for email and the web using Adobe Photoshop Elements, a scaled-down version of Adobe Photoshop.

Adobe Photoshop Elements is very affordable and can be purchased at retail software outlets or directly from the Adobe website for $80.00 (http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopelmac).
