In Adobe Photoshop(tm), the Pen tool is one of the most frequently used tools by photographers and visual artists.
The Pen tool allows you make precise selections of pixels within an image by creating paths.
The Marquee, Lasso and Magic Wand tools are also used to select areas within an image, but the Pen tool is a bit more sophisticated.
