Taking the perfect family portrait is not always the easiest task even for the most experienced photographer. This is especially true when the group of people being photographed includes several small children. As you can imagine, getting all of the adults and kids looking their best in a single photograph can be nearly impossible. Fortunately, in this new age of digital imaging, many images, which used to seem impossible to create in camera, are now only a couple of mouse-clicks away from perfection.

In our most recent lesson called "Taking a Family Portrait Indoors", we demonstrated how to plan, light, and photograph a professional family portrait. Towards the end of our lesson we revealed that there were a few imperfections in our final shot, which were in need of some Photoshop magic. In this lesson, we will guide you step-by-step through the Photoshop manipulation process we used to turn our final shot into an ideal photograph of which the whole family could be proud.
