Thanks to advances in digital camera technology, improvements in computers and software, and access to valuable information on the Web, learning how to take high quality pictures for print, email and the Web has never been easier. Having the ability to view an image you have just taken on the camera's LCD screen eliminates a lot of guesswork in taking good pictures. Gone are the fears of improper exposure, inaccurate focus, motion blur, poor composition and whether or not your subject happened to blink.
With a digital camera, you can view an image on the LCD screen and even zoom in to specific areas for greater assurance of image quality. And if you don't like a particular image, erasing it is as simple as pressing a couple of buttons.

Not only is it easier than ever to operate a digital camera, you also have many more things you can do with the shots you take. Digital files can be beautifully printed on all types of printers and presses, posted to Web pages, and attached to emails just to name a few.
This lesson illustrates how to capture images digitally and prepare them for print, email and the web.
(Note: The section on operation of a digital camera is streamlined for demonstration purposes, so it is important to refer to your camera's manual for detailed instructions.)
